Well n'owt got decided last night except that the ale at the victory leaves much to be desired! Mad

So what do people think we should do next?

I'm all in favour of Ghost in the shell but that leaves people out.

May be Iain could do Something else using 'CORE'

any ideas chaps?

Dead is too strong a word I feel. Thing is, I just can't seem to find any enthusiasm for getting it back on track. I've tried everything: four break games; several months out of the GM chair; different players(-ish); a two week holiday visiting some of the very places featured in the game; gaudy underware. Nothing seems to work. It's not general RP fatigue cos I've still got plenty of ideas for other games boiling around (and the Ghost In The Shell games were most encouraging).

Rather than churn out something that isn't any fun and produce a substandard game -- which isn't fair on anyone concerned -- it might be best to shelve it for a while ('a while' in real terms is anyone's guess). With a prevailing wind, I would like to think that we could perhaps return to it one day.

If people feel mucked about by this then all I can do is apologise (alas, I sold my soul a long time ago so I can't offer that; I do however have some old socks that I'd be willing to offer as severance).

Evidently, this does leave us with something of a quandry: what to do now? It would be a shame to lose the timeslot and the group of players involved.

Fair enough. Not dead, merely resting.

Righteo then chaps, so SB is sleeping on its perch (is it nailed there perchance)?

So, what do we now now then as it is Thursday again later in the week Smile I'm up for what the group decides, Ghost in the Shell was great if that is a possible new runner!

Either way, I'd like to take the opportunity to thank Iain for his years of unstinting hard work in SB and being a kind host. Thanks also to those who have run break games, and to Kev for this years of hard work (and hosting) Deadworld a few years back. I know I've never GM'ed and so I am a mere parasite, but it is all appreciated.

One parting comment on WW2: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/london/4394494.stm Was VJ there? Laughing

I can make the Crematorium this Thursday to resolve the Thursday night issues, IF we are going to resolve the matter. I'd rather not go if the whole excercise has to be repeated.

My take on the matter is simple:

Let's keep Thursday nights going.
I am easy as to what game we play, but I did enjoy the Ghost in the Shell very much indeed Very Happy

Thus I doubt I will be controversial.
