To make a character for the test all you have to do is come up with a name, give yourself some core stats and a brief description of your character.

The 4 mental stats are:

Logic - Raw problem solving power and lateral thinking ability.

Emotion - Emotional intelligence, used for relating to (or manipulating) others/enjoying chick flicks.

Awareness - Attention to detail, awareness of surroundings. A character with a good awareness value is the sort of person who knows what the buildings on their high-street looks like above the ground floor and finds loose change lying around.

Discipline - How well a character can control themselves and focus on something. Working whilst tired or in a noisy, distracting environment is a good example.

The core physical stats are Coordination, Reflexes, Strength and Fortitude.

Coordination - The measure of control over movement a character has. Low values makes a clumsy character, high values make a gymnast. Character with low coordination shouldn't be sugeons. Or be given firearms.

Reflexes - How quickly a character can react to something. Good reflexes sometimes give an initiative bonus. They can also give a free, pre-emptive action on occasion, also.

Strength - Rates how physically powerful a character is. In the advanced version it represents how many newtons of force you can exert (and each limb has an individual strength value) but I'm not sure I want to use it like that right now.

Fortitude - How well the body can deal with damage and other attack. It's mostly used to regenerate damage but can also be used to deal with other health issues.

You have 600 "points" to share out between these eight stats.

A quick note on how these stats will work:
In a contest you add up the stats of both parties involved and work out what percentage your stat contributed to that total.
The formula is: ( Your stat / total ) * 100.

So if player A (coordination 58) attacks player B (coordination 32) then Player A's chances of hitting:

= (58 / (58+32) ) * 100
= (58 / 90 ) * 100
= 0.6444 * 100
= 64%

Almost all the tests in the game are this exact piece of simple maths. In the diceless version the percentage is how effective your attack is. So if player A has a weapon that lets him do 18 points of damage then he'll only do 64% of that (which is 11.52) against player B. This takes out some of the randomness but is a good overall representation of how things will work out.

I also impose the following restrictions: no stat can be lower than 20. I also thoroughly recommend not having any stats below 40.

Please make the first post in your individual threads your "Character Sheets".
