I have recently been having a chat with leicester about doing a joint tournament/s. They are definetly up for it and were looking at dates.

At the moment the most likely dates for the first one is on 30th of April
at Leicester uni's Queen hall. Itll be held on a saturday, with a warhammer tournament probably first.

Ill bring you more information once all the details are settled

Hamish

This one WILL happen though.

It's currently just Warhammer Fantasy and 40k that we do tournaments for, though I am looking to do some of the less done games, and not just Games Workshop.

There are some players of non-GW wargames, there is even a wargammers club where several people do non-GW stuff.

why don't you do a demo game at the tournament over lunch time or something to show some other non-gw games

Why not run a game all day instead of sidelining.

wasn't trying to sideline. Confused

the reason I suggested lunch time was this is likely to be when people are around and not playing in their own game, so would have time to stop and see what is going on Smile

Ignore me. Was just being facetious. Wink

Do you not think that if people knew some sort of historic tables were being played that some may want to take part full time, esp. if all kit was supplied? I'm sure Team Games could be organised to shallow the learning curve.

While I iz 'ere, when do we get to see Rob Jones' little men running around on a Crossfire battleboard?
