Do you have to sleep IC or can you go OOC to sleep?

strongly encourage IC sleeping. and there are all sorts of rewards for doing so, as well as it helping the game feel, most people do which encourages watches etc. do you have an IC (ie plain or striped canvas) tent? if not i can reccomend couple of sources at 200.00 each, alternatively we bought a couple more recently and are allowing use of those by PC's at night. (plus there is always a tavern tent).

Would a camp bed covered in blankets be a good enough prop ?

no problem at all provided it stays covered, likewise you can designate either under said bed or a chest to be ooc and hold your toothbrush etc.

Cool, I have no problem with that.
I have two US army cots that could be used.

I also have two 'folding' wooden beds that I'm getting rid of.

A suggestion to think about ( as mentioned by messers Cat & Dave)

most of us are thinking of having the soldier skill cluster as well as other skills, so how about being a bunch of ex-squaddies who have mustered out and are using their skills to make a living :

Kev Heavy Infantry & Cook ( sounds familiar somehow Rolling Eyes )
Cat Light Infantry & leather worker
Dave Heavy Infantry & Armourer
IKP ??
Jim ??
Hough ??
Judy Possibly a snake so prolly not part of the Original group

Thoughts?

Anyone else?? I know Russ has expressed an interest as has Chris A

Are we still on for the 24/3 at the Crite?

Me:

Heavy Inf / Churgeon

(Only because I've not looked at the rules yet and I've got all the kit from GD.)

Haven't quite decided yet - either a heavy tank with a sideline in bad poetry, or some sort of scouty type. If I'd given into the evil temptation to spend 120 quid on a longbow at the weekend's re-en fair, I'd definitely go for the latter...

We'll be rock for three games then we'll all be scootin' aroond in our undies. Just you wait and see if that's not the case! (Mike, that was not a challenge, okay? Good.)
Wink

Can anyone suggest a place where I can obtain a 6ft Staff? (My weapon of choice - no idea how it fits into these rules tho.) Happy to buy a new one as long as it's a good price.

Dave is thinking of playing a smith, so for armour we (I mean you tanks...) should be cool....

As for weapons:
Kincheap and skian Mohor are good but pricey

Elderich and Cutting edge suppost to good, and cheaper.

(I was recommended cutting edge but can't find a link...... Confused )

Staff would be a two hand weapon, which the soldier package doesn't have.
