People have expressed interest about this before.

Though the last event did go as well as the first one I still think it would be cool to get a group to gether.

I have two ideas;
1)A russian group (if we're allowed) my preferance As I loads of russian kit.

2)A British group. I can tranfer my character from my old team as the medic.

Have to admit that after hearing your last report, and reading feedback from the players on the board, I'm not as keen as I was but I'll go if others want to. Smile

The russain group seems popular, also we have good reason to be there.

The Russains have been involved with the (US)SGC but are always on the back seat - they've had one team, that got killed. The Russains will know about the British operation through the SGC and may approach the British to lend assistance if they can have a team to operate as part of the UKGC.

So far we have interested

Cat - Team leader - Lt Colonel russain paras - mil int?
Iain P - Team medic/doctor
Tim - Team scientist (Virology)
Dave L - Unknown
Kev - Weapons?

Six people would be ideal as that it the size of a standard team.
We could do with and science/enigneer charater and either an intel or combat charater (or mix).

Kit wise I have plenty of russain kit (3 AKs etc) and can set up a team 'hut'
I will also look for other kit for people.

In part laziness and part team balance i'm happy to take suggestions on what roles need filling in the team.

let me know (e.g. email/msn) on booking dates and stuff... i'm a bit scatter-brained when it comes to these things!

I'm well up for this. Would be good if we could all obtain coordinating kit from a cheap stockist of some nature. Of all costume I would have thought that military surplus would be among the easiest to procure! I could easily take a gander through Irish (maybe Anchor), no idea where on the net to look for such things.

I'm up for it aswell, if Steve can't make it.
Like him I'm not too fussed about role, although the intel role is tempting....

I've got some mil surplus gear already, if needed.

I can find "army surplus" anywhere but the Russian stuff isn't common. Just thinking that if co-ordination is a consideration -- because 'patch-work people' looks less team-like -- then the odd bit of gear here and there equips some but not all; however, if we can all get matching stuff from the same place the option of a 'job lot' may present itself.

Agreed - co-ordination is important, I've not seen much russian stuff my self - we could use another 'less' well known camo scheme ( fleckarn, swiss, dutch) I say this cause I REALLY like the german flackvest. Wink
not out of any thought that it may be a good idea Laughing

German Flack vest look HERE

flecktarn.co.uk is a nice site all round to be fair

Also selling Strichtarn (the East German, raindrop cammo pattern) which is
a) even less common than Flektarn
b) an actual communist pattern.

Although admittedly this wouldn't give Kev an excuse to buy the Flektarn armour that he wants... Wink

I agree the site is damn fine though and if we want something distinctive there is a whole "Exotic" cammo section to choose from.

Cheers,
Tim

Yup - co-ordination is a must... guess thats why they call it 'uniform' Wink

Only mentioned ebay as i found lots of army surplus stuff whilst looking for travelling gear (although there is no russian stuff to be found), and some traders will sell in bulk, including multiple sizes.

The Strichtarn is waaay cool... might buy some Very Happy
