In the light of the last playtest the level of Aptitudes (CORporeal, AWAreness and so on) where found to be too high. So the table below shows your new Free Effort levels for the Aptitudes:

1 = 1
2 = 1
3 = 2
4 = 2
5 = 3
6 = 3
7 = 4
8 = 4

Net result is Tiredness will creep in much faster but you should be able to stretch yourself once without getting Tired but any more than that and Tiredness will start to kick in. The trade off with this is that Tiredness levels can be reclaimed much faster:

A quick breather = recover 1 point
Taking it easy for few hours = 2 points
Less than ideal night’s sleep = 3-4 points
Good night’s kip = 5+ points

Overall, this means that if someone wants to keep pushing themselves without taking any time at all for a rest (or at least a breather) they will wear themselves out. Careful husbanding of Aptitude and pacing one's self in game should allow a character to continualy just push themselves beyond the norm without collapsing. This places much greater onus on how much a character thinks he can do in a day.

You also get an extra free Override. Smile Everything else remains unchanged.

Elements of the past and future combining to make something not quite as good as either.
