Game Periods & Good Work Awards
The time between one game and the next is called a Period. At the end of each Period all Agents receive a 1C Good Work award (Directors receive 2C) as a reflection of what their career path has contributed to the Agency when it is not on operation. Agents due to go on operation DO NOT receive this award. Should an Agency undertake an operation but one (or more) of their number are not able to attend, these absentees will receive the Good Work award as they are deemed to be working at OHQ.

Downtime : Sharing The Load
On operation every Agent's duty is clear. A well balanced Agency will ensure that all important areas of skill are covered without duplication of specialisation. However, between operations (DT - Downtime) there are limited activities that can be embarked upon. In order to distribute the share of work and responsibility it is advised that, from a DT perspective, the following responsibilities be kept separate and assigned to individual Agents; The DIRECTOR, the R&D Technician, the ENGINEER and the INFILTRATOR. This is not a rule, just a suggestion. Ultimately, this is down to how each Director wants to run his/her Agency.

AGENT REPUTATION LEADERBOARD
Skilled Agents become feared within the intelligence community and Directors tremble at the thought of his Agents potentially running into these people. Agents are divided into colloquial unofficial ranks with regard to their effectiveness in the field. The formula used to calculate this rating is as follows...

( ( ( Tc - Pe ) + ( Cw - 5 ) ) / Op ) * ( 20 - De^2 ) = Reputation

Tc = Total Commendations awarded to the Agent.
Op = Number of operations Agent has taken part in.
Cw = Total Certificate Worth of the Agent.
De = Total number of Death Events that the Agent has suffered.
Pe = Number of Periods passed since the Career Path became active.

Colloquial Reputation Ranks...
Grand Spymaster (200)
Spymaster (150)
Master (100)
Expert (80)
Professional (60)
Skilled (40)
Novice

Thoughts? This would obviously be a public leaderboard. Just another measure by which to guage individual performance. The actual Rank names are a bit crappy. Suggestions on a brick.

'DIVISION'
Within the actual playing of SPY+TRAP mention will be made of something called 'Division'. Every Agency is under the control of a governing body within the host nation's ruling structure and every government/regime will have different methods of implementing this control. Multiple Agencies functioning within the same region answer to the same authority. For ease and simplicity these controlling organisations will be given the colloquial general term of 'Division'. Agents answer to the Director and the Director answers to Division. When your Director receives live update communications during an operation these transmissions come from Division. Whenever a request for help is made on operation such communiqu├ęs pass through Division. Should an Agency go into debt Division enforces the penalties. When an Agency receives DT information and World News items these are all from Division. In short, "Division Is God". Do what God says lest ye invite His wrath!
