Brief Summary:
Our boss gets us to oversee an auction.
It is very strange. Odd people, odd items, odd bids.
Woody has odd vision through Orb (one of the items on sale).
When auction is over, the vendor (Lady of the Bower) heals, and is no longer an old cripple.
We all go home and have odd dreams.
We awake to grisly events. A wolf, several cats and a young boy have been killed, all in a similar manner.
Woody talks to his mad Uncle.

Now:
The police are all over Mick's place, looking to stitch him up for murder.
The Lady of The Bower is blaming it all on the King in Amber, now he has the Sword.

Next:
No idea!

Peter finds a load of cut up fish outside his hostel.
At church, children stare at him, and adults avoid him. His pastor seems a little disturbed by his account of events.

Alex's garden has HUGE molehills, which turn out to be connected by HUGE tunnels, in the shape of part of the sword design. A HUGER shaft leads down into the darkness.

Philip has another dream, but takes control and gets peasants to take on the King. This leads to King summoning a Dragon to breath on Philip, whose burns continue into the waking world (albeit reduced).

Alex finds a scrap of paper blowing past, that appears to be from Thomas's book. On reading out the words (referring to birds dropping form the sky "to cover the sin"), birds drop from the sky! Philip is hit by some. Carl takes a couple home for autopsy but finds nothing.

Mr Franks has had a heart attack. Northerby Directors have a big meeting.

We find Mr Jax has used Northerby's before, and track down an address.

Continue chat with Jeremy's mad uncle, and a Son of Merton.
Find out Phillip is still carrying part of the Sword, which may be listening in on us.
Son of Merton recommends an old crone in the woods may be able to help.

Go to see old crone. She needs a blood sacrifice, and none of us are willing, so we buy a cow.
Enact Ritual. Djinn appears, and almost gets loose. Does remove Sword.

Head to Scotland, to find the Eildon Tree.

Walk thrice widdershins around tree, and find we have relocated.

Wander off to find where we are. Talk to odd "Scottish" gentleman.

Leave 'Scottish' chap and wander aimlessly towards 'town'.

Approached by two chaps on horseback. One in full armour/helmet. Other introduces himself as Bryn.
We chat, and follow him back to his castle (more of a small keep).
We tell Bryn all about Auction, dreams, etc.
He thinks Jax has got Thomas to send us the letter to lure us here, away from King in Amber, so we can't interfere with King's Plans.
We (I) still want to rescue Thomas.
Bryn's Castle 'moves' each night, so plan is to 'move' to near Silver Queen's Palace, chat with Queen, find and rescue Thomas, go back to Bryn's Keep, 'Move' to Eildon tree and go home.

Intermission:

A few games of Lunch Money, which I managed never to be first out, despite some close-calls, followed by 3-way Small World.
Not that I was winning at any point, Chris was way ahead, the whole game! Wink
Nick's Dragon-Master Skeletons scared us, so we hit them hard! He still ended up with more Skellys than he started with (Never declined them, just kept coming at us, raising more skellys!).
And somehow, i won, 96-92-64.

We eventually decided to leave fairyland.
This was not as easy as we thought!

First, we noticed a red glow across the horizon - King A attacking somewhere?
Adding this danger to our reasons, we headed to the Eildon tree, only to find the area blighted! The tree survives, just, but we hurry to enact the leaving ritual.
Something is wrong (possibly our ritual-skills!), and only slowly do we each leave - apart from Carl, left all alone in the dark, with things approaching through the twilight!
Carl, starting to panic, tries and tries at the ritual, to no avail! Once more, he thinks, once more, before it is time to look for shelter in the land of Fae ...
Luckily, Mr Montague-Smythe remembered a ritual from some caballistic Tome, and enacts a Summoning Spell, using items Carl has recently handled, and blood from his friends.
it is not the smoothest journey, even making Peter's driving seem tame, as Carl is pulled, nay ripped, from Fairyland, through the Wood Between the World, and back into Reality. Battered and bruised, grazed and scathed, he tumbles to the floor amongst his fellows.
But all is not right ...

It turns out we have gone to a Parallel Land, The World Without Google! Sad
After some time investigating, we eventually get some rest in the Hotel.
When we awake, we are aboard the Excelsior, some kind of hi-tech "ship", and are greeted by Dave (and some very fine breakfast).
Dave is worried that we have skipped Possibilities, and ended in the wrong one, so has taken the risky step of intervening.
Much talk, and some education, later and he deposits us back in our proper place (?).

So, we <s>break into the hospital</s> go to see Mr Franks in his hospital ward. He gives us the keys to a house and basement.
The basement contains an extensive library including many works on Faeries, dragons, and other mythological creatures and lands. There are also many spells hidden in the microfiche. Also here is a Mystic Circle.
We are being watched from across the street, but Mr Franks has told us the basement is secure/warded.
Mr Montague-Smythe enacts a spell of translation to read some scrolls we found, revealing them to be compacts and treatise.
Mr Smythe casts a Scrying Spell, and we observe the spy across the street. He is in a sophisticated listening-post, with much specialist technology.
We decide to contact the Spy, by sending a Yellow Rose, with an invitation to ring our "burner" phone, which he promptly does. We arrange to meet at the local pub.

Both sides are pretty cagey, but he is impressed that we know details of his operation. He is concerned that others may be listening, so we start to make arrangements for another meeting.
