Half-remembered RPG from way back. Any help?

Anyone know what it was called? (I feel Kev mentioned the same game a while ago):

It was a paperback format. It was written by some kid I think, back in the Fighting Fantasy Book era. It was a medieval genre, but quite a realistic one IIRC, with strip maps and a whole appendix on herbs.

Ring any bells?

I used to have it too. Don't know where it's gone.

But never mind, I saw it on Amazon going for £2.76 (incl. postage) so I figured I'd splash out.

There's actually a company providing the original rules & source material at Drive thru RPG if your still looking for other stuff
